...yet rooted in the ancient yogic traditions. Dru Yoga is characterized by its gentle, flowing style, and movement sequences that release the energy blocks that often underlie painful emotions and dis-ease.

Also known as ‘Yoga of the Heart’ as many of the postures are designed to activate the heart centre. Dru Yoga is taught in a gentle, graceful, flowing style posing no strain on the body whilst toning and stretching all the bodies systems.

Is Dru Yoga Easy To Learn ?

Dru Yoga is easy to learn. No previous yoga experience is necessary. A feeling of contentment, fulfillment, peace, and vibrance can be achieved by all regardless of your level of flexibility, age, size or physical ability. The physical movements are enhanced by the use of breathing techniques, mudras (hand gestures), affirmations, and visualisations. You will notice during class the importance placed on softness, and flow throughout postures, sequences, and EBR technique.

What Happens In A Dru Yoga Class ?

A Dru yoga class includes activations, simple fun movements designed to shake off tiredness and tension, re establish your connection with your body, and enhance your circulation. An Energy Block Release (EBR) sequence - graceful flowing movements that are designed to dissolve blocked energy at all levels and re balance emotions. Body preparations - stretches and warm up exercises, yoga postures (asanas) that are specifically chosen for their benefits and suitability for the class participants, deep relaxation allowing you to integrate all the benefits of the movements, leaving you refreshed and revitalized.

The best results are achieved with regular attendance and commitment to a term of Dru Yoga.

What You Need To Bring With You

Wear comfortable clothing, bring a yoga mat if you have one, drinking water (it is important to stay hydrated), a cushion or towel and a blanket to keep you warm and cozy during relaxation.

Dru Yoga Registered Teacher

Dru yoga registered teachers are those who have successfully completed the intense four year training course offered by Dru Australia and have passed at all levels.

Saundra began her course in 2006 and graduated as a fully trained teacher in 2010. At the end of the course Saundra was invited by Dru Yoga Australia to partake in the first Master Teacher Training course. She under took this in 2011 and graduated in 2012. 

A training course to teach teachers the specialty of teaching with children was also studied and finished in 2014.
